Work From Home Singaporeans

Hi readers,

I just chanced upon a REALLY cool site called Work From Home Singaporeans and I think you should check it out too:

Here's the thing.. I just read in the newspaper that more jobs are going to be axed for the next 6 months.

Many people I know have been to find extra forms of employment and income, so as to make sure that they can continue providing food on the table.

But it isn’t easy finding extra jobs when nobody is hiring and companies are cutting costs.

Then it daunted to me, so why not work from home?

Now that offline sources of income are gradually diminishing, it’s definitely time to explore the options of earning income online.

And that's when I discovered this while randomly surfing online for Work From Home Opportunities:

And I honestly feel what my two friends Calvin & Patricia has done is indeed very noble. With "Work From Home Singaporeans", they've set up an awesome community where they reveal one proven online money making strategy every 1-2 weeks.

You'll also get to listen to interviews with other successful work from home Singaporean entrepreneurs so you can model after their success formula.

On top of that, you get to make new friends and have fun while you learn at the same time.

Really, the amount of value you'll receive from this awesome membership
site is tremendous and you will have ALOT to benefit from it.

Oh, did I mention that it's completely FREE to sign up?

Yes, it sounds insane but it's true!

But I'm not sure when Calvin & Patricia is going to start charging for this, as they want to limit the members so they can devote their time fully on them.

So you have to hurry if you don't wish to miss out on this incredible
opportunity to learn how to become a successful Work From Home entrepreneur!

NAILS IN THE FENCE‏

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence.

The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence.

Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, 'You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same.

When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. But it won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, the wound will still be there.

A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Remember that friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us.

Show your friends how much you care.

Tips For A Successful Job Hunt

Go to job fairs because employers usually flock to these job fairs. In the same manner, job applicants also flock to these job fairs so make sure you come well prepared with several copies of your resumes and cover letter.

Job fairs are usually held in universities especially when graduation time is near. These fairs are also held in malls or other public areas that are accessible to a greater number of people. Look out for announcements of job fairs on the radio, televisions and even posters in the park.

Keep in touch with family, friends, past classmates and ex-colleagues. Let them know that you are looking for work, and regularly remind them to call you up when a job opportunity is present.

Read the newspapers because vacancies are usually advertised there. Make it a habit to check the papers everyday because there are plenty of job opportunities not just in the advertisements but also in the news reports.

Write up your resume in creative ways, even if you don’t have much qualification and experience. New graduates, for example, can mention their participation in campus projects and industry attachments. Describe what you did and how your contribution helped make it successful.

Finally, you received the phone call or e-mail asking you to turn up for an interview.

Do your research into the company and the prospective, before you enter their office for the interview. Find information about the company’s main line of business, and the kind of duties expected in the new job. During the interview, you can discuss what you know with the interviewers, thus impressing them.

Send a Thank You note after the interview. Even if you have been rejected, you should still send the note. Again, this creates a good impression. Who knows, when it has another similar opening, the interviewers may even offer it to you.

A Wise Donkey

One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do.

Finally he decided that is was not worth retrieving the donkey as the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway.

He invited his neighbours to come over and help him. They each grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realised what was happening and cried horribly.

Then, to everyone's amazement, it quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer looked down the well and was astonished at what he saw.

As every shovel of dirt hit its back, the donkey did something amazing. It would shake it off and take a step up.

As the farmer's neighbours continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, it would shake it off and take a step up.

Pretty soon, the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off to everyone's amazement!

Life is going to shovel dirt on you-all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of a hole is to shake it off and take a step up.

Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest holes just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!

Woosh 27 - Mod 1

This was my first time for being a coach for Patterns of Excellence. It was awesome experience throughout the 4 days of workshop.

I had learnt so much not only from Adam, Stuart, senior coaches like Ee Yan, Lois, Shawn, Loke, Pete, Adelene and Oliver but also from the sharing of the participants' experience.

Congratulation to all the participants who had graduated from POE mod 1. I believed each of you had achieved tremendous breakthrough during this 4 days of workshop, feeling empowered and motivated. I was happy to see the kind of bonding all of you were demonstrating during the games.

Thank you all for allowing me to be your coach. Being a coach really stretched me besides having lesser sleep than the participants.

I wish you all the best in your journeys and see you in mod 2.

FAITH - The Two-Legged Wonder Dog!

A dog named Faith was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 3 legs - 2 healthy hind legs and 1 abnormal front leg which need to be amputated. He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he could survive. Therefore, he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'. By this time, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him. She was determined to teach and train this dog to walk by himself. Therefore she named him 'Faith'.

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfing board to let him feel the movements. Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and rewarded him for standing up and jumping around. Even the other dogs at home also helped to encourage him to walk. Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle, Faith learned to balance on his 2 hind legs and jumped to move forward. After further training in the snow, he now can walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now. No matter where he goes, he just attracts all the people around him. He is now becoming famous on the international scene. He has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows. There is even one book entitled 'With a little faith' being published about him. He is even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul'.

In life there are always undesirable things. Perhaps one will feel better if one changes the point of view from another direction and see things from another perspective. I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone and that everyone can appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day that follows. Faith is the continual demonstration of the Strength of Life.

Believe in yourself! Never lose faith!
